The Slow Death of a Woman in Aleppo uses animated pencil and erasure to detail the horrific death of a woman in a wheelchair on the streets of al-Sha’ar in Aleppo, unable to access hospital care or even painkillers. It is a homage to her but also an awareness of the fact that we find it easier to memorialise the dead than prevent them from dying.
